Clip Zip Crashing When Plugging USB to PC

(1/1)

neon10th:
Hi everyone,
I have a problem with the Sansa Clip Zip where it crashes with the "undefined instru" error (sometimes it shows 0000003C) when I plug it into my computer with Rockbox and try to access its files.  I have confirmed that this only happens when the device is fully charged 100%.  When I let the battery run down to 99% and plug it in, the device works fine and I can access the memory, but it crashes when I disconnect it after it has fully charged.  Is there a known solution to fully prevent this from happening?  Thanks.

EDIT: For the record, I am using the latest daily build of clip zip and can confirm that if my battery is well under 100%, such as around 50%, there are absolutely no crashes plugging and unplugging a USB cable, so this issue is definitely related to the device malfunctioning when there is full battery.  Is there a manual fix for this or will there be a patch in the future?  Is anyone else with a clip zip experiencing the same thing?  It is quite annoying to not be able to access any files when the device is fully charged.

I have the same problem. It crashed the first time I plugged it in after installation.
It's now unresponsive the with error msg. Did you ever figure out how to get it working again?

I had the same thing. This worked for me: unplug the Zip, press and hold the power button until it goes off (~ 5 seconds IIRC). Restart it, and then plug in the USB before doing anything else.
