Revert ipod nano 2G install

(1/2) > >>

fafa:

Hi all,
I had the 3.9 release on my nano 2G working fine and I was able to mount and unmount - rockbox booted without any problem.

Unfortunately , I upgraded to the last , unstable ,release using Rockbox utility 1.2.14 (53c6baba-120814)

now, I got a "panic" error when mounting under rockbox.

As mentioned in the wiki , the only way to upload contents is to boot apple firmware and mount ipod. Okay.

now I am unable to revert to 3.9 because rockbox utility force download of the last version ( wich is unstable for me).
I cannot install manually any other release and I haven't found how to force utility to unstall another version .
And obviosly I cannot install manually rockbox files .

 I am stuck...

 Thank you

How is that obvious? You need to install 3.10 (or 3.9 if you like) manually...

fafa:
Because not, sorry I wasn't clear , when I boot up rockbox and connect/mount my Ipod , I got a "panic" error on the ipod and the rockbox volume is not monted.

When I boot up apple firmware I only "see" , after monting apple volume and directories but not rockbox folders (backdrops  database.ignore  fonts  rockbox-info.txt  tagnavi.config  wps)

So what I had misunderstood in manual installation ?

saratoga:
USB doesn't work in the build you have, so you get a panic.  Just boot into the Apple firmware and manually install (that means download and copy) rockbox 3.10.

fafa:
Just work fine !

 you rocks guy.

I haven't see that rockbox files are in .rockbox on my ipod ( on linux there are hidden ) .

So , I there any chance that ipod nano 2G become stable ?

 Thanks you again.
