Backlight While on Hold Sansa Fuze

I set this to normal but i might as well set it to off since pressing a button won't turn on the screen.  I listen to a lot of podcasts and sometimes just pull it out of my pocket to check how much time is left.   flipping the switch up isn't that big of a deal but it would be nice if any button will turn on the display but won't do anything else.  and i know that i can do first button press backlight only but i preffer to have it on hold just in case.
