Sansa Clip - Noise in the background
(1/1)

Hi
I hope this is the right sub-forum for my problem. I haven´t found something in the forum from 2012 about this or similar problems.
I installed Rockbox 1.2.14 on my Sansa Clip V2 8GB FW 02.01.45 today for the first time. As soon as the player is accessing the flash drive, I have a noise in the background. It starts as soon there´s database access and persists as long as a track runs or the DB scans. With my Sony MDR-EX85LP it´s not that easy to hear, AKG K701 and Triple.Fi 10 play it loud and clear when volume is very low or there are silent passages.
I left the player playing for an hour, same problem, then I reinstalled Rockbox, also the same. Back to original settings - same.
With the original FW there is no noise at all and it plays fine.

That's impossible. There never was such a version of Rockbox, especially not for any Sandisk players.
yapper:
1.2.14 is the version of Rockbox Utility (the installer that runs on your PC). See http://www.rockbox.org/wiki/RockboxUtility
The version of Rockbox you installed on your Sansa Clip is likely to 3.11.2.
