please help me about “database.ignore“

I run the rockbox on my android device.
i maked a file named "database.ignore" in /sdcard/
i'm sure it's not .txt or any other type
then i do re-Initialization。but the data file also is more than 60000.
what's the wrong? i can't find the answer from google.
please help me.thanks.

I'm afraid I don't understand "but the data file also is more than 60000".  Could you try rephrasing?

sorry...Forgive my poor English
i want rockbox don't to scan the folder..i put on a "database.ignore" under it...but the rockbox also scaned this folder.

Don't apologise :)

That is odd, database.ignore should stop it being included (unless you have a database.unignore file in sub directories).  As far as I'm aware it should also work on Android.  Maybe someone else has an idea.

Is the file "database.ignore" actually called this way? Have you checked if your OS (Windows?) hasn't added some additional file extension by chance?

Doesn't it still scan folders with the database.ignore file, it just doesn't add them to the database afterwards?

I would suggest updating your build to a current development build. There's no need to mess around with database.un/ignore files manually anymore.

Settings - General Settings - Database - Select directories to scan

O_o thanks for adding that! This could make rockbox the barnone music player for android. I'm so sick of android's internal database adding game sound effects or custom ringtones to it's 'music library', I don't know why google hasn't fixed this to allow setting of specific folders.
