Hyperbit: You can use IpodLoader2 from the ipl project, it supports loading Rockbox, Retail and IPL.

The whole point of the Rockbox loader is to boot Rockbox as quickly as possible. A pause, 5 second delay, or menu, completely defeats this purpose.

IT isn't that hard to follow the steps to create the ipl bootloader, and even leave out intalling ipl at all, then put in rocjkbox just like normal, you'll then have the ipl loader showing Retail, Rockbox, and Diskmode...

took me less than 15 minutes to intall.

Unless you watch videos, I honestly can't see a reason for even wanting to switch back to Apple's firmware except for maybe battery life.

Edit: And even the battery life isn't that bad.  Just wanted to clarify

Loader2 instructions should be found at the Ipodlinux page, rather than here, as it's not our software. You're more likely to find people who can help you with it over there.

it say IPL Bootloader 2.0 and some other text

... looking 4 configuration ... not found ... and again and again..

To all looking for the ipodloader2, it's worth giving the newer builds a test, it's under "testing" on the ipl wiki.

So what are the advantages of IPL over RB? i.e what can IPL do that RB cannot?
