Album Art- Gigabeat F series

(1/1)

Hello, I installed Rockbox on an old gigabeat f40 that I found around the house and have absolutely loved it!  My only issue (and it really isn't a huge deal) is album art.  I can't seem to get the album art to work no matter what I do,  I have read the manual, and am a little confused by it (even though I know it really isn't that complicated).  One thing that I noticed is that I don't have a  'albumart' folder in my .rockbox directory, and when I try to get the album art to work using any of the other locations I still have no luck.  I know that it's an old Mp3 player and that most people probably don't have one anymore but any help would be greatly appreciated.  Again, this isn't life or death or anything, the music runs fine, and I love the whole "database" system, but the album art would be a really nice touch to truly perfect my gigabeat f40. Thanks again!

P.S. I have also looked at the wiki article

It should work. Please check that
- you use a theme that displays album art (the default cabbiev2 does)
- your album art files are not progressive jpg's - Rockbox does not support progressive jpg

Thanks, I'll try that   could you tell me though,  what are progressive jpg's?
Post Merge: July 29, 2012, 06:37:22 PMThank You so much, that theme worked, I think I found out the problem,  I was naming the image albumtitle.bmp  but by adding '.bmp' the name was really 'albumtitle.bmp.bmp'   so thanks!  I'll need to play around with it and see if there are any other themes that work with album art,  you wouldn't happen to have a list would you?  that would make my life a bit easier (understandable if you don't have one).  But thank you again, I've spent hours upon hours trying to get this working, and it seems that the theme that either I was using wasn't working, or that double .bmp thing I said (sure makes me look stupid :-\ )

You're aware that album art doesn't need to be in bmp format anymore these days? ;)
