Sansa Clip+ Freezes When I Plug In USB

(1/1)

paranoidsuperhero:
Hey I'm running the latest Rockbox release for the Clip+. I could appreciate some help figuring out what to do. A big shoutout to the developers and everyone helping Rockbox out, it's really great to have stuff like this available for people who can't afford stuff expensive mp3 players and such.

So this is all I know (the computer does not recognize the Clip+ in any situation):

1. Clip+ Is Off: I connect the USB cable it shows Boot 4.0 and the Rockbox icon/picture and stays frozen there. I have to hold the on/off button for a ~10 seconds or more to turn it off.

2. Clip+ Is On: I connect the USB cable and the screen stays frozen on whatever screen I was on.

3. Clip+ Is On, I've booted into the regular Sansa Clip+ firmware: Clip+ shows it is charging and I can use the Clip+ like normal. This is the weird one, before it used to act just like scenario 2, and freeze on the screen but now I can use it.

Thanks for the help guys!

Bad USB port would be my guess if neither firmware can talk to it.

Nope, just tested it out with different USB cables and different USB ports. Same results.
Post Merge: July 28, 2012, 03:30:29 PMSo I booted into the OF and then formatted the device. I have to hold left down when I connect the USB cable to the device for it to boot into OF, but like before it just charges it doesn't go into USB mode.
