Possible to create playlist that points to a folder?

(1/1)

rockbox1776:
I mainly use my zip+ (with rockbox) to listen to podcasts.

Each weak I download a new set of  podcasts, listen to them once, and then delete them.

I subscribe to about 40 podcasts, and they are  updated at different intervals (daily, weekly, monthly, etc.)

Each podcast (such as Escapepod) is automatically downloaded in its own folder containing the jpeg thumbnail and one or more mp3 files.

I want to listen to my podcasts in a certain order (from my most favorite to least favorite).

Since the name of the mp3 files for each podcast changes with each episode, a file-based playlist is useless (right?).

I used to manually rename the podcast folders with number prefix (01-WTF, 02-escape pod, etc) to play them in my preferred order.

Later I switched to using Belvedere to automatically move the podcasts from download folder to pre-named folders (so I no longer  had to rename folders myself).  That was ok for about 2 years.

I just got a new PC (Windows 7 64-bit) and I can't yet get Belvedere to run on this PC.

I would like to somehow have a playlist that will play my FOLDERS in order of preference, regardless of what the files are within that folder.

Is this possible?

rockbox1776:
I managed to get Belvedere working on new PC.

Had to relax alot of Windows 7 default security settings.

So I'm back in business managing my podcasts via Belvedere rather than playlists.
