Error accessing playlist files
(1/1)
daflippymaster:
I have a sansa clip+ with the latest version of rockbox and everything, and about every 5 seconds a message pops up saying "error accessing playlist files". But there doesn't seem to be anything wrong with the playlists as I can access/play them just fine. I've looked around here but I just can't seem to figure out what the issue is. ???
gevaerts:
The playlist control file doesn't have anything to do with m3u playlist files. Try checking the filesystem, and maybe delete .rockbox/.playlist_control (which is the file the issue is about)

I am also getting this message every time I plug the Clip+ in to my computer. I have searched through the forum and found a few suggestions but nothing seems to make a difference, including deleting the playlist_control file.
Is it worth formatting and reinstalling to try and fix this? It doesn't appear to be critical but it is quite annoying.

You could probably just rename your .rockbox folder, extract a new one and then copy back your config file (so that you don't lose your settings).

Unfortunately that doesn't seem to have helped. I reset my settings as well which also made no difference.
I usually have all of my files playing on shuffle, which amounts to about 4000 songs. I just tried having a one song playlist playing when I plugged the Clip+ in to the computer and I don't get the error so does this have something to do with the playlist being too large? Perhaps there is not enough space on my Clip+ drive for the file to save? I have about 600mb free on the drive with the rockbox data on, is that too little?
I've only encountered this problem since the last update (which I've only just installed), is it not being treated as a bug? There seem to be quite a few people with this problem.
