Sansa Clip+ with Rockbox 3.11.2 Freeze on USB
Bobazonski:
I recently was using Rockbox 3.10, which had no USB compatibility. I updated to version 3.11.2, and was curious about whether it would perform any differently when plugged into USB. Perhaps I should have read up a bit more before doing that.
I plugged the player into my computer while it was booted into Rockbox, and it immediately detected that it was connected, and a giant image of a USB plug appeared on the player screen. My computer checked for drivers and failed. I figured that I'd just have to continue using the OF, so I unplugged the player from my computer.
The problem is the giant USB picture remained, and the player is completely unresponsive. I can't turn it off or anything. Plugging it back in and unplugging does nothing. Is it bricked? If I wait for it to discharge will it reset? Is there some sort of key combo to do a reset? The manual doesn't mention anything about that.
I appreciate any help

Any mods let me know if you want to delete this posting, or go right ahead, but it may be useful if anyone else has the same problem.

I have the same problem!!
Exactly the same!
How can I get rid of it? I can no longer connect my RockBoxed 3.11.2 Sansa Clip+ to my computer! :(
Any idea?
Anyway, thx in advance! :)

Greetings from South Africa
It just happened to me as well:
Unplug device
Hold power button in for 30s
Device switches off
Switch on
Go to disc settings
Directory cache yes
Works fine now

I have the exact same problem. Works fine, plug in to computer, freezes immediately, have to reset manually. Meanwhile I'm ruining my battery by constantly turning it on and off.
I have tried having it turned off, plugging into the computer, then on, it froze anyway. In my computer it shows up as a blank device. I also went to disk settings (Settings -> General Settings -> System -> Disk), my memory cache is on.
I don't know my Rockbox version because the Rockbox utility can't access because it freezes immediately. On the Rockbox info all I get is Version: 85a6715-120815, no idea what version that translates into.

Even though no one replied I should mention that at this point my Clip Zip is pretty much ruined. I'm going to return it and hopefully get a new one.
