Cant get rid of dropbox bootloader.
saratoga:
That probably means you've copied over a patched firmware file, rather then a new one from the sandisk website.

No I copied the latest 15MB clppa.bin to the root of the player, which I had down downloaded from sandisk's forums directly.
saratoga:
If you do that the entire firmware partition is erased, and the bin copied over. So either you didn't actually do what you think you did or the bin file you copied was also patched. You will have to figure out which is the case.
harri2cool:
can you point out where can I download an older firmware .bin file?
I could try an older firmware... maybe that works.
And I don't think I did a mistake in doing the procedure as described... Stuck with the bootloader.
Isn't there a flashtool to reformat and flash the firmware somehow?

Eureka :)
What I did to solve the problem is that I plugged the clip+ and right click Computer icon and then Manage.
I did a fat32 full format of the Clip+ drive and then retransfered the same clppa.bin file to the root and let the player do its update routine and the player booted normally when I powered it on :)
