can you point out where can I download an older firmware .bin file?
I could try an older firmware... maybe that works.
And I don't think I did a mistake in doing the procedure as described... Stuck with the bootloader.
Isn't there a flashtool to reformat and flash the firmware somehow?

I did it .... I did it

Eureka

What I did to solve the problem is that I plugged the clip+ and right click Computer icon and then Manage.
I did a fat32 full format of the Clip+ drive and then retransfered the same clppa.bin file to the root and let the player do its update routine and the player booted normally when I powered it on
