iPod Nano 2g: unstable build
« on: June 25, 2012, 03:16:21 AM »
Hi all. I had installed latest rockbox build for iPod Nano 2g but usb didn't work.
I downgraded to last stable version for Nano 2G (v3.10) and now it works fine.

If there was USB support for nano 2g before, I really can't understand why it has been removed in latest version.

Can someone explain me? Thanks.

That's easy. It got broken, and the bug hasn't been fixed yet.

Thanks, gevaerts
So it may come back again in a near future in next releases, shouldn't it?

Yes, but we can't make promises about when that will be, unfortunately.

Why do you assume it to be removed just because it doesn't work as expected?

Well, I assume nothing, it's just a matter of words, I didn't mean to say that you've removed the support, but just that usb is not working anymore, and I didn't understand why, if you already got it working on previous versions, it was not working in current, looking like a back step.
Well, sorry if my words were not technically right ;-)
