themes does not work

I got a sandisk c200, and I have some problems with my own themes, It works well with another versions but It does not work with the last version. whats is the problem.

I too would appreciate some sort of notice when a new build is going to break compatibility with existing themes. A quick fix guide would be useful as well, sifting through the CustomWPS wiki page and guessing as to the issues and the steps needed to fix them is impossible.

we don't purposly break themes.... if it broke it was a bug, so why dont you link the theme so we can figure out the problem?

This is my sbs, wps and cfg that were working with Rashers RaaA build a month ago.

*can't attach .sbs files so I have appended .wps to the sbs's filename

Ah, found your problem. in your wps you have two empty viewports. There is a long standing bug where viewports which have nothing in  them crash rockbox.... really need to fix that. Just add an empty line to them. (or remove them compeltly)

I don't think this is my issue, The theme was working until the last month or so and after commenting out the offending viewports the theme still does not load. neither the sbs which has fewer viewports none of which are empty.

I think my bitmaps got corrupted somehow. After copying a backup of the image files the WPS is working now, as for the SBS I will keep looking it is probably something similar

SBS fixed as well though I am still having a couple of issues:

1. in the sbs if you scroll towards the top of the list it jumps down then back up? i'm not quite sure how to describe this, is there anything i can do to fix this?

2. in the wps I display different viewports if the screen has been touched. Once the timeout is reached the screen flashes black, it didn't used to do this, is there a fix? I guess this is because i am drawing over the cover art.

* note that those empty viewports are to provide a black bar at the top and bottom of the cover art and make no difference to the behaviour of the wps

* rename file to .zip to open

now I got my own themes into rockbox.


I fix this problem reinstalling rockbox and them proved it.
and then it works.

I made this theme about 2 year ago or more
 
I made it changing others themes but I want to learn
how to create a new theme.
