Sansa clip zip + Klipsch Image S4 + Rockbox... a big win!

I'm here to share my satisfaction with that combo.
Klipsch Image S4 comes with an incredible unbalanced basses for my tastes other than a bad resonance at about 6khz.
The default firmware wouldn't allow me to change that, but after a period of burn'in and a half-day spent to tweak settings with the Pc first and then with rockbox, i managed to get a (really) good and linear sound out of them.
Still, they lack some details at higher frequencies, and i knew that before buying, they 'only' reaches 19Khz.

Anyway, here are my equalizer settings, if any 'non bassheads' one wants to try:

My first try,  meant to be used with another +2 or +3 db on the generic treble setting:

Worked fairly well with all but classical music, where brasses are a little hidden,
then i decided to tweak by sacrifying the 120hz peak filter to add another at 1.3Khz.
The following is absolutely my favourite,

Some tweak is still needed, because from time to time (depends on the song, it is NOT common at all), i hear a resonance at higher frequencies, it may depends from a saturation due to the gain@17Khz without any pre-cut.

Try them... maybe it will sound good to your ears, or maybe you'll find them horrible, who can say :)

Out of curiosity, what about a database of sound settings for the plethora of ear/headphones out there?

Thanks for sharing your sound tweaks! Due to the subjective nature os sound settings, I think a database of headphone-specific EQ settings might get a little cluttered if it's included in Rockbox. But I like the idea of posting .cfg files in a forum discussion.

Example: my EQ settings tend to be a little treble-heavy to offset my tinnitus, so anything that works with my cans may sound weird to someone else with the same kit. But I'd happily try someone else's .cfg as a base to build on.

I've got an EQ preset for the clip+ / clip zip with Sennheiser cx300 that I like. To be used with Meier2 crossfeed.

I've attached rockbox cfg file which only changes the sounds settings. You may want to save your current settings then clear all settings before loading mine.

I've updated my settings and gave them a thread of it's own.
