Playing all albums by an artist

Is there any way to select a specific artist and play all their albums, in album order (ie. all tracks in order from album 1, then all tracks in order from album 2, etc)?

Selecting "all tracks" for an artist plays the tracks in alphabetical order regardless of the album they are on.

I know that I can select one album, play that, then select another album and add it to the playlist, and so on, but am looking for a way to just queue up all albums by an artist in one go.

I'm running Rockbox version 3.10, if that's relevant.

I know, that you can edit the layout of the database, but I am not sure if you can achieve what you want with a tagnavi_custom.config file.

You may be able to do this by inserting from the file browser -- depending on how you have your files organized.

I looked at the "all tracks" feature and its hard coded into some complicated database code I don't understand at all.  Unfortunately, that means I don't see an easy way to change how it sorts by default (which I agree would make more sense as you suggested). 

Probably still possible to create your own sort string with the tagnavi file, though i don't know much about that.

Go 'Files -> Artist -> {Press and Hold NAV}  -> Current Playlist' to add all albums for artist to playlist in album/track order.

But I need help adding multiple artists/albums/tracks...
