Issue With The Clip Zip
voodoochile29:
Hey everybody, first time poster and I'm new to the world or rockbox/sandisk.
I'd installed rockbox on to my clip zip right after I got it about 6 weeks ago and everything was great. Until the other day when I was out and the clip zip died, I originally thought that the battery died, made sense as it had been on for most of the day but, when I came to charge it on my laptop the clip zip wasn't being recognized but, turned on with a "*panic* audio reset buffer noalloc" message.
Looking it up on the board before I bothered everyone with my post somebody mentioned to uninstall the driver in device manage and that hasn't done anything.
Any other suggestions somebody may have will be greatly appreciated. Thanks for your time.

I think this is now fixed if you update your build.

Not sure I understand what you mean. How can I do that if my laptop's not recognizing the clip zip?
The thing is my laptop was recognizing the device for 6 weeks until it 'died' the other day.
saratoga:
You can still use the Sandisk firmware, so reboot into that and copy an updated build of rockbox over.

How so? Sorry to be a novice and a pain but, at the moment the player isn't even turning on period.
