Using my iPod as a display for the Raspberry Pi

(1/1)

Exeleration-G:
Hello,

I'm just wondering if it's possible to use an iPod Classic 5G's screen as a display for the Raspberry Pi, via the USB cable or something. If it's not, would it be possible to implement this somehow in the future?

Thanks for reading my post.

Its theoretically possible, since you can send whatever data you want over USB.  You'd probably have to come up with your own protocol though, since I doubt theres any standard way to do that.

Would probably be easier to just pull the screen off the ipod and solder it to the GPIO or SPI on the raspberry pi.

Hey, thanks! It seems a bit radical to pull the ipod screen off though... :-P
