iPod Mini 1G Bad checksum
« on: June 03, 2012, 09:32:26 AM »
I have a fresh Rockbox install. Once installed, I then proceeded to reset the iPod to get into Rockbox. That worked OK. However, when I reset again, the iPod booted to a bad checksum error. Holding Menu and Select then Select and Play boots into ROCKBOX, NOT disk mode! Rebooting naturally, the iPod boots fine. What is going wrong?

Did you install rockbox for the wrong iPod model?

If it sometimes boots correctly, it's bound to have the correct build on it.

I'd check the filesystem first.
