put songs from computer into ipod problem??

ok im new to this, so i have a problem. i origanaly had songs on my ipod video and then installed rock box and all is good. i have to go to database and view the songs, but when i plug into computer i can only put songs into files/ folder on computer and help??

Hello yoisaac,

I assume that you have put the music onto your iPod using iTunes before. So these files are located in hidden folders, that may not be shown on your computer if you use windows. You have to change the settings to show all files and folders in windows then.

Post Merge: May 22, 2012, 04:11:18 PMok i found the settings and changed but why are all the songs in an individual folders is there a way to make one folder and put songs in that folder and still keep those songs in the database on the ipod and would that interfere if i put the ipod video back to stock rom

I don't think so.  The ipod OS requires that songs have those weird names.
