So very frustrated - Sansa Fuze shuts down while syncing in Media Monkey

(1/1)

eleellis:
I am so very, very frustrated.  I have read many, many pages in Gen Discussion and here and have done many searches and can't find the answer (I am stunned no one else has described this problem).

I am at wit's end and have spent so much time trying to get this going I apologize in advance if this post is in error.

I have a Sansa Fuze 8gb w/32 Gb external card on V1 Fuze.  I am using Media Monkey as a music library program.  The player was put on MSC before installing Rockbox.  When I try to use the Send To selection in MM, while the music is copying/syncing/Send To the player shuts down and the process stops.

I have tried many things to try and fix this and am fried.  Can anyone tell me what the heck I'm doing wrong?

Serenity:
I can't help, other than to say my Fuze v1 does the same thing--I thought it was just my beat-up Fuze developing a hardware glitch.  I don't sync, I just copy tracks using a file browser, but I do have a consistent problem with the Fuze just powering down as files copy.  This of course screws up the copy, Windows Explorer freezes and soon I get the "File not found" error because of the premature unmount.

Don't know why this happens.  It could just be a Fuze v1 thing, because my late v2 never did it.

Edit: I read somewhere else on the forum that something happened after Rockbox v3.9 to make the USB act a little off. Try replacing your current build with 3.9 until they get it sorted. Hope that helps!
