iPod Nano 2G hangs when starting to play with current build
gbl08ma:
With the latest build from the GIT repo, Rockbox running on a iPod Nano 2G doesn't properly start to play a new track 90% of the times. It just hangs (no panic screen), requiring me to do a manual restart.
The music files I want to play are in MP3 or OGG. None play correctly without freezing Rockbox most of the times.
I updated the iPod to the latest build on 13th May and this was when I first experienced the issue. I updated it today again, and the issue persists. One time though, the UI unfroze after about three minutes (and the music I selected to play was playing at the right time, three minutes and some seconds, even though there had been no sound before). The UI was highly unresponsive though (for example, volume selecting from the WPS wouldn't work properly). When it started to load the next track from the playlist, it froze again.
I know the nano2g was "downgraded" to "unstable" some time ago because of USB issues, but I wasn't expecting such a big functionality regression :) (just kidding)
Can someone please confirm this issue exists on other nano2g too? I tried to "read" the IRC logs searching for "ipod" on the latest days' logs but I couldn't find anything relevant. I apologize if this issue is already being dicussed in another place.

Try performing a diskcheck in case there's any corruption in the file system and if not then hop onto IRC and ask there - that's the best way to get an answer from the really clever people :)

I verified the disk for errors and no errors were found. I'm now going to spend some time on the IRC channel...
