Random auto-skip track on Sansa Clip Zip

<< < (2/5) > >>

oscarmeier:
Okay, I found an error song, which is skipped after 14 seconds. Its a MP3 file on the memory card (Transcend 8GB(10) micro SD HD).
With Sansa Clip software it works normaly on memory card. If I copy the song manuell on device memory it also works with rockbox.

So eventually it has to do with the memory card. But why is it this song? Other songs work on memory card..

Peppe Weapon:
I don't have a memory card, so, for me that's not the problem... maybe sansa's rockbox have issues with memory card, but I have this problem on the internal memory...

Tag information is loaded well before playback begins, so if you track plays at all the parser successfully made it past the tags.

There is no log or anything like that.  Usually bugs like this get fixed when someone figures out a way to reproduce them.

Edit:  Just trying now, flac seems to be working normally on the Clip+.  Could you post your config file text so I can try it on my player?

I try to post my config file also if it's for Clip Zip, but I think that's the same... however, it's very random and not so frequent, so you can bump into this issue accidentally.

oscarmeier:
Ok if i copy the error song once more manuell by explorer on device or card memory theire is no trouble..

So maybe the syncro-function of winamp is faulty?!

@ Peppe Weapon: How did you copy your songs?

Peppe Weapon:
Mmm... sometimes I copied it with Explorer, sometimes I convert them directly on Clip Zip with foobar2000... but usually I copy it with Explorer... anyway, I've formatted it and reinstalled everything, I'll send you any feedback as soon as I have the chance to do it.

Peppe Weapon:
I've tested well, and, always rarely, it continues to auto-skip tracks, after format internal memory, so it's not this the problem.

Anyway, I have some descriptions to give: it gives me error with a song and I replied it "skipping" that part, and in that case, works well, but I had to reproduce this song many times and see if this issue re-appear... but the most important thing is that FOR A SECOND TIME, ONE, SPECIFIC SONG gives me the error. Maybe a case, but I had to investigate about it. I remember that the error appeared for a two, consecutive times for a single, specific song, I reconverted it and the problem was gone.

I don't know if these were unique and rarely case, but if that damn song gives me another error, can I send you it and see if problem occurs?
