Random auto-skip track on Sansa Clip Zip

<< < (4/5) > >>

oscarmeier:
I checked the memory (SANSA) with CHKDSK and get an error. The report is written into invisible folder FOUND. i opend it with editor.

Noticeable the most are in /<microSD1>/MUSIC/

Now i backup the .chk file and compare error songs with those who are written into this file.

test1 - error song (skipped)
test2 - no error song (no skip)
test3 - song doesn`t start
test4 - error song (skipped)
... and so on

they are all mp3. But why are so much errors on my memory?!

i cut the song and paste it back to the diretory: it works

that is really strange.. because if at the first usb transfer datas are written not completly they can`t be played correctly - but if i copy those from the datacard and write them back to the same directory it works...

Peppe Weapon:
I'll try it, but I think that your problem it's different than mine.

The problem, at me, occurs TOTALLY RANDOMLY, only once it occurs two times in a row with the SAME SONG, I reconverted it and it works... well, I'll try CHKDSK, but for now, without images, no errors, but the problem can reappear.

oscarmeier:
i modified that not all error songs are on sdcard, but the most.

furthermore i try to do the chkdsk with the option correction.

it is strange that the SANSA device has errors according to that tool, but the the sddisk not, although the .chk file has many entries of /<microSD1>/MUSIC/

Peppe Weapon:
Yes but that specific songs auto-skip EVERYTIME?

I'll explain well: imagine that you have the Queen discography, you want to listen Bohemian Rhapsody and it AUTO-SKIP everytime you play it. That's your problem?

If yes, my problem is different, and above all, more infamous: imagine that I have the Queen discography, and suddenly, Don't Stop Me Now auto-skips. If I reproduce it one more time, it works well... after a random number of songs reproduced perfectly, Somebody To Love auto-skips... I reproduce it and it works well! As I said before, this problem is very infamous, I can't explain what provoke this issue, it's inexplicable.

oscarmeier:
yes that are specific songs that skip everytime at the same position.

i will try to format the memory and reinstall rockbox..

because i think the complete data system has errors
