Sansa Fuze Plus Usability

(1/1)

lionfury:
I'm thinking of purchasing a sansa fuze plus, and was wondering if rockbox runs well enough to be used for daily audio use. Thanks!

Serenity:
I've also been eyeing up the Fuze+, but I might just put that money toward a 64GB micro SDXC for my older Fuze. It sounds like there's no recording yet and glitches during playback of some audio formats (FLAC is one of them). I'll wait a little while, but take a look at the Fuze+ page (go to the main Rockbox page, scroll down to "Unstable Builds" and click the Fuze+ link for the list of features). It should be fine for basic playback, but it could be a bumpy ride here and there.

I am using the Fuze+ with rockbox every day. It does crash from time to time, but if you don't handle the touch pad too much it seems to work fine.

The Fuze+ is not as bad as some have been saying, it's not over priced, and is a good option if you need a big screen like I do.

The biggest issue with the Fuze+ is not Rockbox, or even the original firmware, but the infuriating touchpad, which can make you want to throw the thing against the wall. A shame, for it is a very nice sounding player.
