Does anyone know if the Sansa Clip plus will read a 64GB MicroSDXC card? ???

Yes it will, although they must be formatted Fat32.

The partition type in the MBR must also be FAT32, if the card is partitioned. Formatting tools will not usually bother to do this.

The card is coming today and I plan on only having one partition.  Can someone recomend a program to reformat this card?  I'm on XP.

Having one partition counts as "partitioned". :)

Please search first. SDXC has been discussed a couple of times recently with various backgroud information. For example see http://forums.rockbox.org/index.php/topic,27811.0.html

I can confirm that a 64GB microSD works. I bought the SanDisk Mobile Ultra 64 GB today, reformatted it to fat32 and it reads in my rockboxed Clip+. For some reason I get a 16 MB non-allocated part first though, may just be my bad.
Have tried to copy a file from the sansa clip+ 'internal' flash to the SD flash succesfully. Have not filled the whole SD with songs yet.

--- EDIT

well... no. It doesn't work for me, it seems. Actually it would seem like I have 'bricked' my sdxc-card. I have tried to reformat it back but no luck. At this point, just an expensive clip-on nail.

Try running this, it typically helps with any device (storage device) that formats incorrectly or seems bricked.

thanx for the tip, but unfortunately still just a clip-on nail.. :-(

update:
Bought a new one and made it work as fat32 with guiformat, no probs. So was maybe just clumsy &/or unlucky with first one
