Original Snasa Clip+ noFM firmware gets changed
(1/1)
e_orz:
I have downloaded the noFM firmware from Sandisk site:
http://kb.sandisk.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/5224/~/removing-the-fm-radio-feature-from-the-sansa-clip%2Fclip%2B%2Ffuze-player
This firmware remove the radion option from the device. The firmware works.
However, using the automatic installer of Rockbox the firmware gets changed and the radio is back again (using the left button and booting the original firmware).
Is there any way to disable the radio of the original firmware (not the Rockbox one)?
thanks for a great program !
P.S. Rockbox version 3.11.2

Do a manual install, and when you copy the patched firmware file over make sure it has the same file name as the nofm firmware file. As far as I know the no FM thing is just determined by the file name of the firmware file.

Thanks ! It worked. (I wouldn't dream that it's actually the same firmware)

If it is decided by the filename of the firmware file there's no need for a manual install -- do a normal bootloader installation using Rockbox Utility and rename the firmware file Rockbox Utility put on the player the same way before disconnecting the player. That should make patching the firmware simpler.
