Anyone got latest build working on Ipod Nano 2nd Gen? 3.11.2

I've installed on a friend's device (I myself use a clip+) several months ago and then just yesterday but it always crashes shortly after booting. The unstable builds page seems to indicate that it should be working somewhat OK minus some functionality but I've never heard more than a few seconds of playback on it before a crash screen comes up.

So I'm wondering if this is unique to my friend's player.
