Clip+ Volume control

I bought and installed Rockbox on my second Clip+ because the volume control on the first broke - the up rocker not engaging. After 1 day the same thing happened to the new Clip+. This is not a Rockbox issue but I thought I'd ask to see if anyone else has had this hardware problem. Two out of two with the same defect is not good.
