playlist & shuffle question

Hi Folks, I’m new here and new to Rockbox.
I really like it and have a few questions about playlists and shuffle mode.

Is there a way to save my current shuffle when moving between playlists?
and a related question:
When I move between playlists is there a way to start playing music at the same song I left off when I moved to a different playlist?

I'm using an Ipod Video Gen 5.5

what do you mean your curent shuffle? if you save the current playlist it will work fine, also bookmarks will (I tihnk) let you keep your position in playlists (shuffled or not)

I can see how to save a playlist, but not a shuffle.

Currently, every time I move between playlists it always starts on 1 with a new shuffle.
I would like to keep the same shuffle and start at the same place that I left off when I moved to a different play list.

Say I'm at song 155 (out of 9577) on my "all files" playlist.  I play a different playlist for a little while and when I go back to my "all files" playlist I want start playing song 155.

As JdGordon said, use bookmarks. They let you do this.
