Trying to uninstall bootloader. "possibly not an ipod"

Hi, I have an Ipod 5th gen video. Basically what I wanted to do was uninstall rockbox and reload the normal
apple firmware for it. I believe I have the rockbox firmware uninstalled, but not the boot loader. I know this
because the boot log is always on the screen when I initially turned it on and it said no partition available.
Plus when i uninstall the firmware in the utility its fine and it says its completed. The problem is now that I turned it on
I can no longer turn it off. And when I go to uninstall the bootloader I get the error message "possibly not an ipod".
It seems that my computer is only recognizing my ipod as a usb drive. I'd really like to know any way I could at least turn it off if not anything else. Im also going to post the log file here for anyone to look at.

Well I tried that, and itunes says its not connected to the internet for some reason. And I can't seem to restore the ipod without it updating first. I did the internet test and everything worked except it said it was unable to make a secure connection to the itunes store. Any ideas?

Its possible to restore an ipod without itunes, and you can of course try to troubleshoot the problem.  But I would not recommend doing either of those things when its going to be much easier to figure out why you can't use iTunes, then once that is resolved, use it to fix the ipod.

Ok I figured out the problem, I was using a proxy to shut off Internet Explorer (for security reasons). Once I got IE running again it worked. I now reinstalled the old firmware and everything is working. Thanks a bunch!  :)
