Rockchip RKNano B - can it be ported?

(1/1)

van0014:
i have a device called "MP608". it is running Rockchip, RKNano-B. I want to know any details about how to get the firmware from it, or if it can be ported.

Here is a lot of information about this mp4 player, in high detail:

This product may be relatively new. On the rockchip main website, in the products tab, it shows a little technical info about the RKNano B chip:

saratoga:
As I recall, not much is known about the RKNano processor other then that it is an ARM system.  Its probably possible to port rockbox to it, but you'll have to figure out how everything works.

knob:
If a datasheet can be found, a port could well be attempted in the future.

If you are interested, start a Rockbox RKnano wiki page and gather all the technical information you can, including pcb scans and photos.

I should really start a new thread, but this could really help. here is a schematic in PDF format, for the RK Nano: http://www.upurload.com/files/2ee4c33b48f3595bfaccb4d9a183cb1f.pdf
