ok thanks. so my described method will work, when booting into sandisk firmware after that.

so the resume is you can do it in one pass. i have rockbox installed and official fware a, follow my method choosing new o. fware b, and afterwards i have a rb dual bootloader with the latest o. fw. right?

i can't remember the exact error message, its been some days, so maybe that was the problem. did not try again because it worked manually then.
