Iriver hard drive problem
(1/1)
rpleak:
I have upgraded both my Iriver ihp-140, and my H-140 to larger hard drives, both Toshiba and Samsung. Both players boot up just fine into the Iriver software. And both players ran Rockbox perfectly before the upgrade. But now, when I try to run Rockbox, both players display an 'ATA-32' error, whatever that means.
I have read in other posts a lot of conflicting information about it being a hardware problem(well, since the native software runs, I think that that pretty much proves that wrong), and various methods of trying to workaround what is obviously a Rockbox problem.
Don't get me wrong, the Iriver Rockbox developers have done a great job, and an unselfish service to Iriver users by porting Rockbox to this platform.
But can someone take the bull by the horns and finally address this very real software problem?
If I had the expertise, I'd do it myself. But I don't.
My thanks(and the thanks of others having this problems) to anyone that can help resolve this issue.
