Updating firmware sansa fuze

Hello all.
I have a V01.02.26A sansa fuze.
I use rockbox version 3.9.1.
I use talk files from realspeak that I have in my windows XP sappi speach. I use these voice files instead of the rockbox built voice files since they are much better sounding and more natural.
I updated rockbox but it didn't work well with my V1 version of fuse nor did those voice files seem to work from sappi.
If I updated the firmware, would I lose my current version of rockbox and the voice files I now have? I need them since I'm totally blind. Thanks fore all you do. Joe.

You need to generate voice files again each time you upgrade.

By the way rockbox 3.11 was released today.

I'm pretty sure this question is the same that has been asked (and answered!) on the mailing list just half a day earlier than this post has been made. As well as the person asking seems to be the same one.
