Fuze+ SD card problems
« on: March 28, 2012, 09:42:43 AM »
Multiple problems (at random) on playback of music from a 16GB SD card (located via browse rather than the database).

Won't play some tracks - hangs on loading (message "loading")
Won't play some tracks - loads track and then does nothing
Won't play some tracks - loads track and then drops back to the browser straight away
Plays first few seconds of track and then hangs.

Current port status suggests that SD card playback is 100% supported.

:) Many thanks to all who're trying to make the Fuze+ a usable player. Well done.

thank for reporting the issue. Usualy the place to go for that is http://www.rockbox.org/tracker/index.php
I've never experienced such problem:
- are you sure this is sd card specific?
- is you sd card 100% sure to be clean?
- isn't it related to one of the few playback's bugs (see fuze+ page)

I bought a cheap SD card (16GB) supposedly a Kingston, but data shows as a Ricoh. Anyway, regardless of whether I drag and drop in RB, Original, or with a holder in the slot of my laptop, it writes some of the files ok, and most of the tracks come out with corrupted titles. Ive formatted and re-formatted, etc. I figure it's just a junk card. I got a full refund, so no harm, no foul. FYI (BTW the device is a Fuze V2).
