Can't create database on iPod Video
(1/1)
vocrobot:
I have used Rockbox on and off for several years and now I have got myself another iPod video I want to install it again. I have installed rockbox build 5513c6d-120322, all my music has been arranged through iTunes and I want to keep it that way so I have gone to initilise the database. I counts up so far then stops at a certain track and before switching off the iPod it says "Initialising database 1/9, 2/9, 3/9 etc, stops at 7/9 and the track number that it has reached stays on the screen and keeps showing when I go into database mode. When I switch the iPod off then back on again it goes back to "Initialising database 1/9, 2/9, stops at 5/9 and when I try to go to database it says again "database not initialised, build database" and the same things keep happening. I can't build a database and therefore can't listen to my music with Rockbox.
Can you not build a database if you songs have been put together through iTunes now. Having Rockbox before I'm doing what I always did before and it worked fine but I'm wondering if I'm going to have to delete my iPod and put everything on in a file-tree structure. If anyone knows what's happening and can help I would appreciate it. I've searched to see if anyone else has had a similar problem but I can't see anything like it.
