[Solved] Rockbox on Sansa Clip v1 has suddenly become extremely unstable

(1/1)

wilsonsamm:
Hello everyone!

I've run into some problems with my MP3 player. I've had it for maybe a year and a half, I bought it refurbished in the summer of 2010, so it's not exactly very recent.

I've had rockbox installed on it for maybe 6 months. First time I installed it, the filesystem became corrupt not long after, so I reformatted and installed rockbox again. After that, it ran fairly smoothly, crashing only maybe twice weekly or so.
Now recently, the filesystem has become corrupt again, I figured that must have been because I unplugged it from my computer carelessly or something. Well, I formatted and reinstalled again, just as I had done the first time. But now it has become very unstable indeed. It crashes almost on every song I play back. It's very frustrating.

I thought, maybe a sector on the flash memory has become corrupt. Is there a way to test that?

What can I do to debug this? The hexadecimal values on the "bluescreen" mean nothing to me.

Alright! I'm marking this topic as "solved" even though it's not exactly solved. The latest release is version 3.11 which has some bugfixes in it. This build now runs very well on my MP3 player without any problems.

Thanks chaps!
