I think I just killed my Clip Zip
« on: March 16, 2012, 11:37:14 PM »
I had it working with Rockbox okay for a while... Just plugged into my computer to add a few albums to it. I left it plugged in since it needed some charging anyway. I just decided I was done charging it, so I went to the usual process of making sure I eject it before pulling it out of the USB. Fine, Windows told me it was okay to remove it.

So I pulled it out, and clicked the top button (planning to make sure it updated the database so I could access the albums). But for some reason the USB connection symbol is still on the screen, and the battery charging animation is even stuck. None of the buttons on the device will do anything, except for the top button turning the screen on. I tried plugging it back in, but now Windows says it can't recognize the device.

There doesn't really seem to be anything I can do but let the battery run out, and hope the problem is gone when I recharge. However, since the screen turns off after a couple seconds I'm guessing it's going to take a long time to run out. Any other ideas?
