Day Two - Problem with new Rockbox install on Sansa V2
« on: March 12, 2012, 03:31:29 AM »
In reference to this recent post
http://forums.rockbox.org/index.php/topic,33701.0.html

I persisted in my efforts to restore the OF,  I finally succeeded and made sure to set USB mode to MSC.
I was so relieved to have pulled off this simple task as it seemed I had bricked a new Fuze V2.
Now I had an player with an address again. Then I used the Rockbox installer to remove Rockbox.
Powered down, then went about some neglected chores. Back at it, I turn on my Fuze and find myself jammed again.
The screen now reads "Bootloader USB mode" when plugged in and "Plug USB cable" when unplugged. If this were possible, as I also can't turn it off, it seems I'm in a position even more limited than I was 'before I fixed' this issue.
As before I appreciate any guidance as to how to salvage this player and return my Fuze to it's native firmware.
With thanks up front...
