How Do I Remove Bootloader From Sansa Fuze Plus?
GameModo:
Hi Guys :)
I have used Rockbox on my Sansa Fuze and Sansa Clip Plus and wanted to give it a go on my new Sansa Fuze Plus. I discovered a few issues with the software so decided to remove the Rockbox and Bootloader. It was a simple removing the Rockbox, but the Bootloader I cant for the life of me figure out how to remove it.
In the past when removing the Bootloader from my Sansa Fuze I just had to put the standerd firmware in the root of the player and reboot. I tried this on the Sansa Fuze Plus and it does nothing. (the bootloader version is 1.0).
I cant seem to find any help on this, has anyone removed the bootloader? (Sorry for the bad english)
saratoga:
AFAIK its removed exactly the same as all other sandisk players. Copy a firmware file to the player's root, then reboot into the Sandisk firmware.
GameModo:
Ive done this, put the firmware onto the Sansa Fuze Plus root and it just goes into the bootloader saying file not found.
Like I said ive done this before on a Sansa Fuze and it worked fine but for some reason its not working on the Sansa Fuze Plus.
Could it be the bootloader?

If you see the rockbox bootloader, then you're booting rockbox. You need to be in the sandisk firmware, rockbox won't have any idea how to update the sandisk software.

Ive booted into the Sansa Fuze Plus OS by holding down the power button and the volume down button.... Issue is its not updating the firmware because it is the latest firmware. I have tried using old firmware and nothing....
Im kind of lost now.... Unsure what to do.
Post Merge: March 11, 2012, 04:58:41 PMTried forcing it to boot up into the Sansa Fuze Plus OS By powering down, holding the down volume key, pressed down, it does the update but still does the file not found bootloader....
Post Merge: March 11, 2012, 05:09:46 PMIt did the update then went into the bootloader screen again (unsure why) So i restarted it and made it go into the Sansa Fuze Plus OS and it said update was completed....
When I shut it down and powerd back on it fires me into the bootloader screen still. Damn this is very frustrating.
Post Merge: March 11, 2012, 05:11:18 PMAlso when I am in the Sansa Fuze Plus OS and I plug in the USB cable it fires me into the bootloader screen.....
