sports timer
« on: March 07, 2012, 05:35:20 AM »
Hi! What do you think about making timer app? For example if I'm making sports there is often is need in timing. For example workout will be much better if you pump out all your energy in 30 seconds. But usually there is no possibility to follow timer but have possibility to hear a beep. Could anybody implement such "beeper" with possibility to choose time intervals (its better to make two different time intervals for workout and for rest). Thanks!

Hello crossblade,

I am not sure if that's exactly what you are looking for, but have a look at this: http://forums.rockbox.org/index.php/topic,27368.0.html

Or if you get yourself familiar with the sleep timer and start timer (which I am totally not) you maybe find that useful too.

Greetings,

Hi! Thanks for link - very interesting software! But it is too complicated. Usual beeper I propose can be used in very different situations not only in sports, for example check temperature of nuclear reactor in same time intervals during listening the music! :) or flip the potatoes until fried :)

And by the way how should I install software on my Sansa Clip+ if I have only source code?

This could probably be done fairly easily with the LUA interpreter.
