Possible bug for current builds of Clip+
« on: March 04, 2012, 07:04:49 AM »
Not sure if this is a bug or if it's a user error.

I've been using nothing but current builds of rockbox instead of the stable versions. And ever since using the current builds, whenever I add some music to my Clip+, then hit Update Now for the Database, the new files will show up in the database but the track length next to each track will appear as 00:00. Instead of the actual track length(ex: 2:34, 8:12, etc.). And because of this when I go to play a track that appears as 00:00, the track won't play.

So to remedy this I have to hit Initialize Now every single time when I add new music. Which takes forever to go through my entire library. But after my entire library gets initialized everything works fine.

Now this happened to me a couple times when I used to use the stable builds. And I mean only a couple times. I didn't stumble upon this problem until I was already using Rockbox for months. But now it's every single time I add new music to my device with these current builds. Which by the way the one I'm using now is: f6e17e8.

Has anyone else came across this? And if so, is there anything I can do, or stop doing, to make it where I can go back to simply hitting Update Now to get my newly added music to show/play correctly?

Thanks for any help.
