Sennheiser MX 680i remote working with a rockboxed Sansa Clip Zip?

Hi!

Currently I am looking for a new mp3-player and new earphones. For now it looks like that I am gonna buy a Sansa Clip Zip and Sennheiser MX 680i Sports earphones: http://www.amazon.com/Sennheiser-MX-680i-Sports-Headset/dp/B003VJ1O34.

The MX 680i earphones have a built-in 'smart remote with microphone' which, as it seems, is only fully compatible by Apple devices (iPhone, iPod). Does anybody know if Rockbox also supports this remote? Does it depend on the hardware or software?

I don't need the microphone, just the volume, next/last and play/pause buttons have to work.

I hope somebody can help me out :)

No, I'm afraid no remote control is available for any of the Clips, either under the OF or Rockbox.

The hardware just isn't there.
