Cleaning up bookmark files

Hi.

Can we have a function that cleans up the current bookmark files, and recent bookmark files so that it removes bookmarks to files that no longer exists?

I do a lot of podcast listening. So when I am done with the podcast, I delete the file. However, the old bookmarks still exists in both places. So I then have to go back and delete the old bookmarks. It would be nice to have a plugin or function that looks for the bookmark files, and checks them for dead links.
