playlist created but only and empy file.

I have a 5.5gen Ipod and which is replacing an older 5th gen I dropped. This one is running the latest version (3.10) when I create a playlist I get a the playlist.m3u file but its and empty text file. This also happened with the version before this one (3.9) as well.
I rolled back to version 3.5 (what was on the older ipod I broke) and I am able to create the root.m3u playlist without any issues. Any idea if this is an isolated incident or is this a bug that's common to the 5th gens?

I am having the same issue with my iRiver H320.  It worked with 3.9.1 but with 3.10 I can't get a playlist any more.  Frustrating as that is the only reason I use Rockbox(and the album art).

Chronon:
I just updated my Gigabeat S60 to the current build and was able to generate the playlist all.m3u8 successfully.  How are you trying to create the playlist?
