I was reluctant to install Rockbox for various reasons, but after installing it on my Clip+ there is no way I can go back to the original firmware. The classic theme makes navigation feel and look similar to the original firmware, the battery life is better (and the battery meter is actually accurate now!), the sound quality is amazing (just as good as what I hear from my Zune HD), there are tons more options and settings over the original firmware and I was surprised to find loads of games including DOOM :0! This thing can even play videos if I really want to.
Never did I imagine just how much I was missing out on, and never did I think the seemingly overwhelming experience could be this intuitive. I have to thank the people who make Rockbox for this, because they are just awesome.
