Rockbox is NOT Better then the Sandisk firmware it is more confusing and harder to use while the Sandisk firmware is easy a straight forward plus it makes the player un available on my PC when I plus it in it does not show up when Rockbox was installed, thank God I was able to restore back to the Sandisk firmware by holding the Home button and power buttons while it was off.
Plus the text on the screen is way to small without super reading glasses or a magnifying glass.
Another thing is the radio has poor reception compared to the Sandisk firmware and the recording option is real aggravating and not easy to use, when I activated it I could not figure out how to exit from recording so I held the power button till the player cut off.
I had the same poor radio performance with aSansa e200 series I had at one time.

You can change the theme to classic to get an original firmware-like theme and text font/size. To get the player to show on the PC you have to hold down the left button while plugging into the computer. According to the manual you must press the power button while in the recording screen to exit. If recording is in session the power button will stop recording; pressed a second time you will exit to main menu.

Why not just use the sandisk firmware if you like it?
