Oops, maybe I had to specify it a bit: you'll need an 1,8"->3,5" adapter or external enclosure to connect the HDD to your macbook. Without direct access to the HDD, it won't work.

ok so i can't sync my ZVM directly by USB and format it. :s i'll wait a new method maybe with the CreativeWizard or with the modifier installer.
Too bad.Thx.

Meh, I wanted to test the nice new rockbox, but it seems I have lost my zifconnector when I moved :'(..
But, How do you acces the FAT partition?
Because there is still the extra->USB disk function of the OF that we could use.. Although I can no longer check if it is accesible on a hardrive level (although I suspect it is, because I could nicely repartition and format it in linux). Could you look into that mceulenaere? (or anyone else with a zif connector?)

That was what I was originally going for, but as this required a good understanding of the CFS filesystem (which I don't have); I went for plan B and now I ended up at this stage :)
This means the second "partition" is deleted and replaced by a FAT one, which currently works although it requires either a ZIF connector or a working ISP1583 usb driver to access it..
